regression
"It was such an interesting experience and I have been flying high ever since!
I have a newfound sense of confidence and a feeling of expertise."
Glenda G., Vancouver, BC
Regression is a process of bringing to conscious awareness the memories of past experiences that affect our lives today.
Simply put, this work helps us uncover core memories from this lifetime, past lifetimes, and "in-between" states so they can be processed and integrated.
It can be excellent for people who want to release painful emotions that block them from living life with ease, but who have tried other therapies and modalities with limited success.
You don't need to believe in past lives to get the benefit of regression work: when we enter the subconscious state, the mind presents us with the essence of the problem at hand.
Call it metaphor if you like. Bottom line: it works.
There is, according to Carl Jung, a "transcendent function" within the psychological makeup of each individual, (what many of us call our "Higher Self"), that knows the origin and resolution of our problems . Regression therapy connects us with that transcendent function.
What we do:
First, we use relaxation techniques to access the subconscious mind. Basically, this feels much like guided meditation - the lights are dim, the music is soft, you are reclining comfortably and are cozily tucked in under a soft, warm blanket. From an expanded state of consciousness, we locate 'core' memories and explore the deeper parts of our psyche with an aim to not only alleviate symptoms but also to restore healing.
Why regression:
Core memories affect us on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels. We can experience them as limiting beliefs, anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, repetitious behaviour patterns in relationships, or profound feelings of being unworthy, unlovable or abandoned.
On the physical level, core memories can present themselves through disease, allergies, weight, repeated injury, sexual issues, dermalogical outbreaks, or chronic illness.
On the psychospiritual level, core memories can be the cause of phobias, nightmares, sexual issues, addictive behaviours and more.
When it can help:
Regression is often appropriate for people who struggle with chronic issues that have emotional triggers.
If you have tried many therapies and healing modalities but have been unable to move past a physical or emotional block, regression work can be a catalyst for healing and lead to profound transfiguration. Note that for some clients, it may take three to four sessions to fully uncover, process and integrate a problem through to healing.
While this is far from a comprehensive list, the following are some of the issues that respond well to regression therapy.
depression and low energy
moving past limiting beliefs about money, success and ability
chronic anger, chronic injury, or chronic pain
insecurity and fear of abandonment
inability to find or maintain a mate
marital difficulties
addiction issues
entity attachment
sexual problems
guilt
low self-worth
family quagmires
lack of direction and purpose
How it works:
In each session, we set an intention with a specific query chosen by you. We then access an expanded state of consciousness, locate and work within the sigificant lifetime(s), process the experience, and integrate the new awareness into the current lifetime.
Regression begins much like hypnotherapy with me doing most of the talking. However, once you have entered an expanded state of consciousness, you are then in charge of your experience. I will ask questions and you will fill in the picture of your experience. You will speak aloud your experience as it is happening, describing your impressions, thoughts, sensations and visions as they unfold. I will expertly guide you through the process, never allowing you to linger too long in any painful memory, and move you through the process of releasing of any negative feelings, beliefs, thoughts or impressions. Then we integrate this new, lighter, expanded, more liberated sense of yourself into your current life.
Sessions are recorded and an mp3 is emailed about a week later, after you've had time to process the experience. The first session takes two hours and begins with an intake interview. $225.
Subsequent sessions can be done in one hour. $125.

Who it's for:
Regression therapy is for people who take a holistic view of their problems; people who not only want to tackle issues head-on, but seek to cultivate a deeper wisdom about their life path and appreciate a fuller perspective.
As Dr.Jonni Gray puts it, "We have an innate instinct towards wholeness, integration and balance." People who like to pursue on-going personal development tend to like regression - a lot!
Regression therapy can often be a jumpstart for those who feel they are dancing on the edge of understanding the spiritual apparatus supporting their life. If you identify yourself as a 'spiritual' person, you may sense that there is something greater at work in your life that has brought you to this point, with these specific people, in this unique dynamic, under these particular circumstances. Knowing the dynamics of your soul group and the details of your emotional matrix can offer life-affirming propulsion, especially if you feel ready to release painful memories or relationships.
Or, regression therapy may appeal to you if you feel that your life's purpose is some greater contribution to the welfare of the planet. Perhaps you would like some guidance to know which talents and aptitudes should be brought forth in that service. Human beings have an irrepressible will towards consciousness - regression work can reveal the missing pieces that elude us in our search for purpose and meaning.
As we move closer to mind-body-spirit integration, regression can help us re-connect with, and participate more fully in, the creative process of life. By locating and experiencing empowerment lifetimes, working with future life progressions, (if appropriate), and establishing a direct and strong connection with your spiritual guides, your regression work can be a powerful touchstone of your spiritual development. And you can continue to expand on the experience long after the regression itself. This is especially helpful for life coaches as it offers on-going support, both for yourself and your clients, as you access higher wisdom.
For people who would like to connect with souls who have passed on, regression can offer access to direct connection without the need for a medium as a go-between.
Or you may just be curious about re-experiencing past lifetimes! The regression experience can be very relaxing, exciting and fun.
After your regression:
Much of the power of your regression comes from how well it is integrated into your life afterward. It can take as much as four days for the 'floating' sensation to pass and for you to become fully grounded again. Though it will be discussed in your session, these are some important reminders for post-session integration:
1) Write everything down as soon as you can after your session. Your critical mind was fully aware and recorded everything that you experienced. You must be sure to journal it, jot it down in point form, draw it out as a picture - do whatever you can to get it out and on paper. You experienced much more than you were able to vocalize and writing it down will reveal more details, possibly very important ones. You will retain the information a lot more if you write it down.
2) Read it over before you go to bed that night. Keep paper and a pen handy to jot down any dreams you remember - your subconscious will be working over time as you sleep for the next few days.
3) Allow some time for introspection. Do talk to friends if it feels comfortable for you, but also reserve time for quiet. Be still inside and see what comes up. Your brain and body are integrating vulnerable pieces. Calm-down time helps.
I am available by email if you need or want any support. We can also go over your session and process it further in a 30 minute meeting or phone call.
"The conscious mind will, in its wisdom, only send us past life memories that we are ready to deal with and are able to integrate into our conscious personality structure...
There is a subtle inner economy of psychic and spiritual unfoldment in which every individual proceeds at his or her own pace, governed by these inner guardians and guides."
- Dr. Roger Woolger
